Last night at Mackenzie's hockey practice I was waiting for him in the lobby of the sports center. There is a couple of chairs there with a coffee table between them covered in magazines. A woman with a 2 year old was also waiting and her little guy kept taking the magazines onto the floor looking at them.
No big deal.
Except for when her older kid came out and she got up to leave and carefully tiptoed through the mess of magazines and left.
What the heck?
She left the mess there.
Two seconds later my friends five year old came along and started talking a blue streak to me.
What was I knitting? His hockey team wasn't doing so good. He is the best
skier ever, etc. etc.
While he babbled
incessantly and my brain went into overdrive trying to keep up I noticed that without missing a beat he had picked up and put away all the magazines.
Before I could even thank him he was gone again.
Interesting.
What kind of parent are you?
